Homemade Laundry Detergent

Making your own laundry detergent at home has several benefits. Here are 4 benefits to making your own laundry detergent.

  1. It is cost-effective as it is much cheaper than purchasing commercial detergents. It has historically cost me around $30 to start and lasts me most of the year! That savings alone is a great reason to make your own soap.

  2. It is eco-friendly as it does not contain harmful chemicals that can disrupt your hormones, harm your family and also the environment.

  3. It is gentle on your clothes and skin as it does not contain harsh chemicals that can damage fabric or irritate skin. Fourthly, it is customizable as you can adjust the ingredients according to your preferences and needs. I use a grated soap bar to fight stains.
